My absolute favourite program EVER
This would be next on my hit parade if I could fuck around on the internet at the same time.
Whedon’s 10 favorite episodes are airing as an all-day marathon on LOGO May 19. Here’s what made the cut:
“Prophecy Girl” (112)
“Innocence” (214)
“Becoming Part II” (222)
“The Wish” (309)
“Doppelgangland” (316)
“Hush” (410)
“Restless” (422)
“The Body” (516)
“Once More With Feeling” (607)
“Conversations with Dead People” (707)
It’s kinda interesting that the finale didn’t make the list — and unsurprising that seasons 5, 6, and 7 are represented by just one episode apiece. Do you agree with Whedon’s picks? Which other great episodes do you think deserve to be in this list?
The Wish is life itself.
That’s a very good list.
I approve. “Hush,” “The Body,” and “Once More With Feeling” are probably my top favorites.

Look, I think we need to acknowledge that Elisabeth’s life goal is to be Sue White.
This comment made me laugh for a full minute. Also I’m not going to deny it.
Well, who could blame you?

OTP to end all OTPs.
Sometimes I just like to sit and stare out the window and wonder how they’re doing up there in their little Canadian shack. brb re-watching the end of the series.
I love their faces so much, you guys.

If I had cable, I would basically schedule my life around this show.
By making Miss Havisham closer to Pip’s age, the production has heightened the sense of tension, both sexual and psychological, between the two characters. “She’s not an old crow and fawning after these children, which would end up being really creepy,” said Anderson. Likewise, an additional patina of tragedy is added to the deeply disturbed character, whom Anderson imbues with a blend of ghostly transparency and obsessive madness. Pip telling her that she could have filled her decrepit home, Satis House, with children of her own cuts even deeper—she still could choose to open herself up to love. (x)
Everyone prepared for Masterpiece’s rendition of Great Expectations tomorrow night?
omg, I didn’t recognize Gillian Anderson. She looks amazing.
Forever.
This episode is perfection. It is a delightful blend of absurdism and excellent children’s music.
The Eleventh of March!
And those who are not here, be they sleeping or doing something else, they will feel themselves…sort of crappy.
Lucy Liu To Play Watson In CBS’ Modern Sherlock Holmes Pilot ‘Elementary’
The name is Watson, Joan Watson. Lucy Liu is set to play Sherlock Holmes’ sidekick in CBS’ drama pilotElementary, whose tweaks to Arthur Connan Doyle’s classic include switching Watson’s gender to female. The project, written by Robert Doherty, is set in present day and stars Jonny Lee Miller as eccentric Brit Sherlock Holmes, a former consultant to Scotland Yard whose addiction problems led him to a rehab center in New York City. Just out of rehab, Holmes now lives in Brooklyn with “sober companion” Joan Watson (Liu), a former surgeon who lost her license after a patient died, while consulting for the NYPD. Michael Cuesta is directing the pilot, produced by CBS TV Studios and Timberman/Beverly. Ally McBeal alumna Liu, who had 2 pilots vying for her, is recurring on the current season of the TNT cop drama Southland and will next be seen in the feature Man With The Iron Fists. This is certainly an original idea.I’m hoping she plays it ice-cold like in Kill Bill.
Hmmm. I think this would’ve been more interesting if Holmes had been made a woman. Or if both of them were women. Why does the woman (and person of color) have to be the sidekick? Hmph. Also, I’m afraid it’s going to devolve into boring het sexual “tension.” Blah.
