This is my favorite part:
Can we possibly imagine an intimate encounter where the man does not orgasm, but the woman does, perhaps several times? Can we imagine an encounter where sex is defined as whether or not it finishes with a female orgasm? Can we imagine saying “that wasn’t really sex” when the woman does not orgasm or enjoy herself?

It is downright ridiculous that in this day and age, there is still so much tired-ass nonsense about jerkin’ one’s gherkin. Feminists have done a hell of a job reframing women’s sex toys as a fun, even empowering way to enjoy one’s own body and sexuality. Male sex toys, however, are still culturally stigmatized as the province of creepy losers […] If you see any reference in most culture to a man having any form of masturbation aid, from an apple pie to a RealDoll, then you know that guy’s a punchline. It’s universally understood to be shorthand for “loser”.

I would bet you a delicious loaf of rosemary sourdough bread (which I cannot live without) that the results of this study (which, by the way, found that both men and women choose the internet over sex) would be radically different if our definition of “sex” presupposed a female orgasm. Speaking for myself, I once (during a Dark Time) refused to take anti-depressants because one of the possible side effects was decreased libido. I’ll give up orgasms when I’m dead, thank you very much.
